History Made: Serena Williams Beats Angelique Kerber To Clinch 7th Wimbledon Title



Serena Williams has made history today after winning her 22nd Grand Slam by defeating Angelique Kerber  in the Wimbledon women’s final today in front of a host of celebrities. She won with a straight sets victory over the German  on 7-5, 6-3, drawing her level with Steffi Graf in the all-time rankings. Williams collapsed to the ground with her arms raised in celebration. She could not wipe


the smile off her face as she lifted the Venus Rosewater Dish trophy as the surrounded crowd applauded and cheered. The highly tensed match was pack with celebrities notable were Sir David Attenborough, Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams, Oscar winner Natalie Portman, global superstars Beyonce and Jay Z, US chat show host Ellen DeGeneres, Sir Cliff Richard and comedian Peter Kay.
